Matt Fiedler is a 2013 RHP/SS with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Eagan, MN who attends St Paul's Academy. Fielder has a medium sized frame with an athletic build. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a short quick arm action. His arm works well and he has a balanced clean delivery. Fielder uses a high leg lift at balance point and finishes to the plate well. He works quick on the mound and throws strikes. Fielder throws an 11/5 curveball with good shape and spin to it. He also gets occasional cut action on his fastball. At the plate, Fielder starts his swing with a handsy load and generates good bat speed on a line drive plane. He maintains good balance through his swing and made backspin line drive contact. Defensively, Fielder has good arm strength and showed good range on the infield.
