Gosuke Katoh is a 2013 2B/SS with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Poway, CA who attends Rancho Bernardo HS. Tall slender build. 6.42 runner, outstanding defensive actions, very quick feet, plus range at second base, quick release, very soft and sure hands, arm short from shortstop but playable at 2B with release, plays defense with flair and a nose for the spectacular play. Left handed hitter, spread stance, good bat speed with some lift, ball jumps, will surprise with his power, hits with hands away from body, hard pull contact, quick hands. Has a very high baseball IQ and plus instincts. Good student, verbal commitment to UCLA.
