Nick Cassidy is a 2007 outfielder from Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville, South Carolina, with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame. Defensively he has good arm strength from the outfield with online carry on his throws. He moves to the ball well, and reads the ball off the bat well with good instincts. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who uses a knee lift trigger. He stays balanced throughout his swing despite a long stride. Cassidy is an aggressive hitter who swings hard and has good raw bat speed. He blasted a few balls deep in BP and we can see him doing serious damage with metal in his hands. Despite his aggressive swing, he stays short to the ball and centers the ball well. Cassidy has very good upside at the plate with power projection. He is also a very good student that should be followed.
