2009 National Underclass Showcase - Session 1
Makay Redd is a 2012 LHP/1B with a 5'11'', 180 lb. frame from Alamo, CA who attends Monte Vista HS. Athletic build, taller than listed. Extended arm circle, mid 3/4's release point, throws cross body on release. Low 70's fastball topped at 75 mph with good southpaw running action, will occ cut FB, gets over curveball well, downer shape, good tail on change up, good feel for changing speeds, around the zone with all pitches. Arm strength still to come but already has good feel. Showed some strength with the bat, solid defensively at 1B. Good student.
