Michael Imbriale is a 2006 outfielder/right handed pitcher from John F. Kennedy HS in Jefferson Valley, NY, with a 6'1", 195 lb. frame. He has square shoulders with good strength throughout his body. Defensively he has solid actions in the outfield with solid arm strength, and gets good carry on his throws. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with strong hands. He takes a big stride and looks to drive the ball to his pull side. Imbriale has the strength in his swing and his hands to muscle out hits even if he is fooled on a pitch. There is strength in his swing and he has projectable power that will help him be a middle of the order run producer at the next level. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot and only pitched from the stretch. His fastball topped out at 80 mph with some hand side life. He also mixed in a 68 mph curveball and a 62 mph changeup. Imbriale is a power player with two-way ability, but we think he has the most upside at the plate. He is also a good student.
