Kyle Snyder is a 2006 RHP from Wellington High School in Florida with a 6'2", 170 lb. frame. He has a good pitcher's frame and should fill out and be plenty strong when he matures. Snyder throws from a 3/4's release point with a high leg kick delivery and some effort in his delivery on release. His arm is very quick with good smoothness throughout its circle. Snyder topped out at 91 mph in Atlanta and has been a consistent 90+ present velocity pitcher for us consistently. His fastball has some arm side life to it. Snyder's curveball and change up are solid secondary pitches. His curveball is 74 mph with good spin and his 76 mph change up has some deception to it. Snyder's brother Brian was a first round draft pick out of Stetson two years ago by the A's and he comes from a baseball family and knows how to pitch. Snyder has committed to Miami but his present stuff and bloodlines are sure to attract plenty of professional attention.
