2005 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Kyle Snedeker is a 2006 C/3B with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, who attends Choctawhatchee High School. Kyle did not perform at his best due to him straining his right bicep tendon the day before the showcase. However, he still showed good skills behind the plate and hitting. Defensively he still posted very good pop times consistently around 2.00, with a best time of 1.98. He has a quick transfer and nice footwork that allow him to get rid of the ball quickly. He also receives well with soft hands, and handles pitchers well. Snedeker showed good blocking skills as well, and is an all-around solid defensive catcher. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a line drive swing plane. He loads his hands well and gets good leverage at the point of contact. There is strength in his swing with projectable power. Snedeker has good upside, and is a very good student as well.
