Hudson is a 6-3 left handed first baseman from Arizona with a nice athletic frame. Despite his size, Hudson gives the impression that he could get much stronger in the future if he decided to. He ran the 60 in 7.97 and threw 72 mph across the infield in drills. Hudson hits from a tall stance with low, quiet hands that stay low through his swing. He showed the ability to drive the ball hard the other way during games and batting practice and should continue to develop his power with added strength. Hudson also threw 2 innings. His fastball was 69-71 mph and he threw a 56-58 mph curveball and 58 mph change up. Hudson is a very good student.
