Frierson is a 5'10" 175 pound 2006 second baseman and outfielder from Los Angeles, California who attends St Bernard High School. He has a strong athletic frame and build with room to fill out still. He shows a above average arm and fielding actions along with his feet and balance. He has a compact arm action with good carry on his throws and gets rid of the ball quickly. He threw 85 from the outfield and 80 from the infield. Jarred has some quick hands giving him good bat speed. The ball jumps off his bat very well especially from the right side. From the left side he is a bit more mechanical and crude. Frierson showed good speed both in the game (4.51 to first) and in the workout (7.15 60). He seems to have a good knowledge of the game.
