2023 13U/14U Ohio Valley Prospect Showcase
Adam Watson is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends Southport. Slender athletic frame. Ran a 7.93 60-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher that showed a well connected delivery with drop and drive mechanics and a high three-quarter slot on the mound. Located the fastball that topped at 74 to both sides of the plate regularly and showed feel to spin a slider that showed sweeping action across the zone spinning regularly at over 2200 PRM. Combination of size, arm speed and feel for spin to really develop on the mound. Also worked out at first base showing the ability to make the routine play, developing glove actions and solid average arm strength. Hit from an even base with leg lift timing, developing balance and ability to get the swing fully in sync, rotational with a slight uphill bat path and developing feel for the barrel.
