2007 Atlantic Coast Top Showcase
Bo Brandt is a 2008 OF/MIF with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends St David's HS. He has a medium build and a live body with some strength to it. Brandt was the fastest runner at the showcase and probably runs a 6.65/6.7 under good conditions. He showed smooth and balanced actions in the outfield and enough arm strength, arm strength that could probably be improved by lengthening out his arm stroke. Offensively, Brandt has an aggressive approach at the plate and swings hard. He has strength in his hands and the ball comes off hard. His best swings were when he stayed on a line drive swing plane, as he occasionally got power happy and dipped under the ball trying to lift it. Brandt's athletic ability should enable him to keep developing. He is a very good student.
