Jax Lane is a 2027 C/2B,3B,IF,MIF,OF,RHP,SS with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Lubbock-Cooper. Compact frame with athleticism. Ran a 7.42 sixty. Primary catcher who starts out low from a side saddle stance. Made clean exchanges with smooth transfers and releases. Pops up quick and rides through the plate. Also played infield moving well laterally. Works around the ball well and fields cleanly with two hands. Developing arm strength. Swings from a balanced base with a minimal hand load. Uses a small stride for weight transfer with an opposite field approach. Hit some balls hard with intent and impact off the barrel. Also pitched throwing from a 3/4 slot. Long and lengthy off the bump with fluid arm actions. High leg kick working down hill a good bit with good rhythm. Located the fastball well with arm side run. Threw a curve with healthy shape that varied at times with more sweeping action to it.
