Nick Madden is a 2026 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Fanwood, NJ who attends Scotch Plains Fanwood. Works from a medium high-waisted frame with longer limbs and physical upside. Primary first baseman, works through the baseball well, made quick and efficient turns. Clean funnel with softness to the hands, delivered accurate throws, recorded arm strength up to 72 mph across the diamond. Secondary left-handed pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch, starts with a compact hand set at the belt, lifts the leg up to the mid-section, releases from a high three-quarters slot. Provided a fastball-heavy diet early on, located it fairly well and topped it out at 69 mph. Mixed in a changeup with a touch of late fade for a swing and miss, projects for more velocity as he continues to physically mature. Left-handed hitter, starts in a narrow slightly closed stance, utilizes a hands-driven stroke with little lower-half usage. Has a consistent barrel along with the ability to work the entire field, recorded an exit velocity of 71 mph. Ran a 7.97 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
