Logan Merwin is a 2025 1B/LHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA who attends El Toro. Features a medium/athletic build. On the mound, he’s an easy mover. Side steps into a belt high knee tuck and works smooth down the mound. Arm works more compact in the back and to release out of a normal ¾ slot. During his outing he worked fast, threw strikes and induced a lot of weak contact. Worked the FB to all 4 quadrants at 72-77 mph. Curveball in the low 60s showed sharp late break and his low 70s CH exhibited quality fading action. At 1st, flashed some athleticism with his actions working low to the ball with soft hands and getting off accurate DP throws. At the plate, sits in a relaxed stance. Uses a simple trigger/stride that keeps him balanced with a smaller take back of his hands/barrel. Bat worked on a flat path through the zone barreling several to the right center gap during his round and found a clean barrel during gameplay with a line drive to CF. 7.13 60 yd.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
