Fiztgerald Barranco Villanueva is a 2024 SS/3B with a 6-2 186 lb. frame from Springfield, MA who attends Springfield Commonwealth Academy. Recorded a 7.26 second 60-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a big frame and athletic build. Smooth actions moving around with hands that work to both sides. Big arm strength on throws across the diamond at 90 mph. Clean funnel out front with mid-body exchange and corner footwork working through the ball. Switch-hitter with an open stance and hanging knee-lift trigger from the left side. Bat speed through the zone staying connected with the lower-half and barrel release out front. Pull side impact when he stays square with his stride and keeps a clear path for his hands to work out front. Similar stance and setup from the right side with increased barrel consistency. Linear bat path from both sides with more loft from the left side. Good student. Named to the National Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
