Riley Varner is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 6-1 184 lb. frame from Delaware, OH who attends Olentangy Liberty. Large frame with a leaner build. Ran a 7.45 second 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, simple delivery with a clean leg lift and limited move down the round, developing arm speed and showed a 3 pitch mix; up to 75 with the fastball and plays true, short depth to the breaking ball that he an land, short action to the changeup, low spin mix with some projection. Also plays infield, longer actions and gather, corner profile and drops his slot some, up to 73 across. Right-handed hitter, inside out approach and spins off it at times, able to produce some harder liners to the middle with his best contact, developing consistency with the barrel. Good student.
