Zach Rohrig is a 2024 MIF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Bridgeport, WV who attends Bridgeport. Medium, athletic frame with present strength proportioned throughout build. Ran a 6.93 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, plays lower to the ball on approach, fields it out front with two hands, glove works to the ball, compact arm action through the back side, maintained body control on the charge play, tends to play tall and releases from an over-the-top slot on throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread and slightly open stance, high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing. Upper body dominant swing, rotational path and swings with intent. Incorporates strength well into swing nad creates present bat speed through the zone, best contact when working on a linear plane, shows comfort working to the pull side. Very good student.
