Danny Story is a 2025 OF/RHP, SS with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Edwardsville, IL who attends Edwardsville. Recorded a 6.94 sixty yard dash time. Lean frame with an athletic build. Primary outfielder, with quick feet and good twitch. Fields off front foot with soft hands, pace with some momentum to the ball, can go get it in the outfield. Shuffles into throw with low cuttable throws. Good traits with the potential to get a lot better in the outfield. Secondary shortstop with quick feet and good reactions to get moving. Soft hands especially moving up the middle. Moves well laterally with an accurate arm. Also threw an inning on the mound. Works with compact delivery that is well connected throughout. Uses lower half to drive toward the plate. Fastball worked well 83-85 with some arm side sink. Mixed in a curveball with consistent 11-5 shape and depth. Flashed a straight change-up. Effective mix of speed with the pitch mix. Right-handed hitter, starts with a medium base and slightly open feet, utilizes an inward toe tap into a stride forward. Works gap-to-gap in the air with a line drive approach. Intriguing player with a ton of projection. Good student. Named to the 2023 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
