John Composono is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Palos Hills, IL who attends Amos Alonzo Stagg. Recorded a 5.24 second forty yard dash time. Physical and athletic build. Primary catcher with a low and side straddle stance, gains good ground towards second base with his footwork, steps can get long at times and could shorten them up slightly. Has quickness out of the crouch, some things to like and build off of moving forward. Right-handed hitter with a spread base and even stance, gets pre-loaded with the back leg. Has lean/rock back load and utilizes a small lift and replace trigger. Has some strength in the swing and found his best contact when going back through the middle of the field. Will continue to improve as he stays strong on the front side and doesn't let his lower half drift. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
