Joshua Berber is a 2023 OF/RHP, 2B, SS, MIF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends North. Features a medium, athletic build. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash. Worked out in the outfield and on the infield. Displayed quality fundamentals in the outfield. Charges it well with momentum into the catchpoint. Threw 76 mph during workouts. Athleticism translates to the dirt fairly well. Can move well laterally with range in both directions. Still developing fluidity and glove timing on the dirt. Can make the routine play. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a wider base stance with a high hand setup. Barrel starts wrapped. Swings on a linear path with an approach geared toward the middle of the field. Developing consistent timing would allow for more barrels to be found. Right-handed pitcher. Displays a repeatable delivery down the mound. Could add some intent. Fastball sat 64-68 mph. Pairs it with a mid-50’s curveball and a low-60’s changeup. Throws all three for strikes. Still refining consistent action and break on each pitch. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
