Slade Sessums is a 2027 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-11 135 lb. frame from Highland, CA who attends Yucaipa. Features a wiry/lean frame with plenty of room to add. Ran an 8.26 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed average quickness in his approach but glove worked down on time and got through it well. His arm worked longer out the glove to release with average armspeed for his level that got off 1-2 hop accurate throws to the bag up to 71 mph. At the plate, he sits in a balanced stance where he uses a smaller leg lift triggger with minimal movement of his hands. His hands take a direct path to the baseball that cuts the barrel across at times. Inconsistent timing but had some quality impact to the pullside. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch. Uses a belt high knee lift with minimal sit/hinge in backleg/hip. Works in-line down the mound with a hard finish. Arm worked longer out the glove and to release out of a higher ¾ slot. Only showed a fastball during his outing that he ran up to 69 and flashed the tendency to locate it to the armside.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
