James Teague is a 2024 RHP/3B, OF, UT with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Falls Church, VA who attends George Mason. Long, lanky frame with a high waist, long limbs and plenty of room to add strength. Recorded a 4.14 second thirty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Compact, simple delivery with slightly higher leg lift and good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-80s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 84 mph from a compact, shorter three-quarters arm slot. Three-pitch mix with the ability to kill spin on the changeup and developing 11-5 shaped curveball. Strike thrower with developing command of all four quadrants, effective throughout outing. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, even base with low hands and a small stride into contact. Whole field approach with consistent contact and some impact when on-time and in-sync. Will improve with proper swing adjustments. Projectable right-hander with some velocity upside and some feel for three-pitches. Excellent Student. Named to the 2022 Virginia Indoor Showcase.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
