Jackson Stepp is a 2027 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Hendersonville, NC who attends West Henderson. Medium athletic build with some present strength and plenty more to come. 7.22 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, moves well from side to side, good arm with a good arm stroke, mover with nice body life. Also played the outfield and had solid overall actions, arm works better in the outfield if anything, kind of player who can likely play all over the field at a high level. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a tight hand load, turns his lower half tight, rotational one-piece swing with some bat speed behind it, best pulling. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot that creates some downhill angle, turns his hips well. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with good ride up in the zone and some sink/run down. Slurve type slider was a good second pitch that he landed for strikes. Very good student. Named to the 13U/14U Atlantic Coast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
