Palmer Hayes is a 2026 SS/2B with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Huntersville, NC who attends Lake Norman Charter. Medium current frame with lean muscular build for a young athlete and plenty of time to add physicality. Primary position IF, with good hop in his step and mature pre-pitch action. Showed good understanding of angles on plays, coupled with smooth glove work to secure the ball. Clean arm path with solid carry on accurate throws up to 71 mph across the field. Handled slow roller fine and all the elements are there. RHH starting with a wider and slightly open stance to start. Good handset and pulls barrel through to contact with mostly an opposite field approach. Gets a bit inverted from time to time and projects for solid power with maturity. Really interesting prospect to follow in the near future, who is also a tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
