2010 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
Matt Goiffon is a 2010 C/OF with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier HS. Medium athletic build, developing strength. Big coil and load hitting, gets lower half into swing, long power type swing, ball jumps well on contact, shows gap power, whippy barrell out front, back shoulder occasionally dips under ball, power approach. Fair athletic actions behind the plate, two part throwing motion/release slows pop times, hands are soft receiving ball. Very good student.
