2023 13U/14U Ohio Valley Prospect Showcase
Joel Gotthelf is a 2027 MIF/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from New Lowell, ON who attends Nottawasaga Pines. Solid physical frame. Ran a 7.86 60-yard dash. Worked out in both the infield and outfield, fundamental footwork with pace to the baseball in the outfield, works through the baseball fielding off to the side and showed a slowed arm action releasing the baseball. Footwork direct to the baseball in the infield, hands work down to the baseball, developing lateral range average arm strength across the diamond. Switch hitter at the plate hit from a wide base with mirrored stances from both sides of the plate. Slight uphill bat path with present strength in the swing, consistently got the barrel on plane and through the baseball with a well connected swing. Up the middle approach with the ability to drive the baseball to the pull side. Stretch only and showed showed a fastball out of a three quarter slot with developing arm speed on the mound.
