Kenny Gein Iii is a 2025 C/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Massapequa, NY who attends Massapequa. Medium current frame with a lean muscular build and some twitch to his actions with a lot of time to add over time. Primary position C, working from a well-balanced, slightly offset start with game like actions. Stiffer glove work that will be really good with time, using a good midline transfer to throws. Quick arm creating velocity of 73 mph and a pop-time best of 2.19. Comes out of legs just a bit on throws and accuracy will get even better with a bit of footwork refinement. RHH working from a slightly open stance and a lower handset to get things started. Down hill path to contact, nice compact stroke with really good hand speed and strength at impact. Consistently on time and when energy was in the middle of the field, he created hard, low line drives gap to gap. Young athlete with a chance to be quality offensive catcher and performs at high level in the classroom.
