Preston Martin is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Newtown, PA who attends Council Rock North. Medium, leaner build with promising athleticism to go along with it. Primary shortstop, showed lateral range, sound glove, arm was accurate and consistent, displayed a lower arm slot with a longer, whippy action that resulted in throws with some life to them, peaked at 80 mph across the diamond. On the mound, he started his operation from the middle of the rubber, displayed an average leg lift with the hands breaking at the chin into a fairly deep, inline arm path. His three-quarters arm angle and vertical rotation offered looseness with some projection in the near future. Ran his fastball up to 81 mph with spin up to 1919 rpm, mixed in his slider with decent spin which peaked at 70 mph. Right-handed hitter, began in an upright, even-base approach with a small stride, produced several line drives to the back netting, hands remained tight, guided the barrel through the zone at times. Recorded an exit velocity of 75 mph. Ran a 4.04 thirty-yard dash. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
