Lucas Musgjerd is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Excelsior, MN who attends Minnetonka. Tall and slender build with lots of room to get stronger. Primary left handed pitcher, has a very rotational delivery with a compact arm action that hides the ball very well, low 3/4's arm slot, lots of deception to his mechanics and pitches. Fastball worked in the mid 70's, got very consistent cutting action at lower velocities, tends to straight out in the upper range. Gets nice spin and big sweeping action on his curveball, has good feel for landing the curveball and the confidence to use it on any count. 7.01 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound, aggressive coming to the ball, still refining his footwork into his throws, tends to get under his throws. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a big stride into contact, long and loose swing, works mostly to the opposite field and showed good barrel accuracy. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
