Michael Messina is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Bayport, NY who attends Bayport-Blue Point. Medium, high waisted frame with plenty of room and time to physically mature. Recorded a 5.10 second forty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with aggressive actions into the fielding process. Fields with two-hands out in-front, gathers cleanly and works into release by using a shuffle. Maintained some momentum into release and produced fairly accurate throws up to 81 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an a narrow, open base with a high, flatter hand start and inward hover trigger. Incorporates some separation into landing, gets deeper hand load into launch and generates some compact hand speed. Whole field approach with developing bat-to-ball skills, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
