Declan Higgins is a 2027 SS/RHP, 1B, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Santee, CA who attends Undecided. Features a wiry build with room to add. Ran a 7.70 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Showcased solid athleticism on the dirt. Displays an aggressive approach with some range both ways. Still developing ability to maintain momentum through the catchpoint. Was fairly accurate with throws across. More arm strength should come down the line. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes a wide base stance. Swings on a linear path. Flashed the ability to get the bat head out front. Has some strength present to drive balls when on time. Right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery into slight drop and drive mechanics down the mound. Gets down the mound with intent. Hides the ball well using a long arm action into a high 3/4 release. The fastball sat 63-66 mph with cut action. Offering works well at the bottom of the zone. Pairs it with a curveball a t 54-58 mph with 12-6 action. Both offerings showed the ability to generate weak contact. Excellent student.
