Jimmy Hawksworth is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Mokena, IL who attends Lincoln-Way Central. Slender athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has quick feet and lots of lateral range, works low behind the ball with nice athletic balance, has fluid rhythm to his overall actions, good arm strength across the diamond, stood out on defense in the games. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance, back side hitter with a back lean to start his swing, downhill swing path, works to the pull side when the barrel gets out, has the athleticism to improve as a hitter with swing adjustments. Also pitched, has a quick and clean arm stroke with an easy low effort delivery, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked mostly in the low 80's and topped out at 84 mph, gets good carry through the zone. Change up was a good pitch for him with nice arm speed and low spin with some fade, still developing feel for his curveball and for repeating his release but has some mound talent. Good student. Named to the Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
