2023 West Academic Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Brandon Jung is a 2026 LHP/1B with a 6-0 186 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Murrieta Mesa. Features an Athletic, projectable frame with room to add strength. Three-pitch mix that include fastball, curveball and change up out of a 3/4 slot. Simple operation working linear down the mound. A strike thrower that is able to land his secondary offerings . Induced weak contact on the breaking ball. At first base he showed a loose arm with accurate double play feeds and the ability to make plays. In the outfield he fields out front and showed a quick arm that was accurate. At the plate he has a wide, slightly open stance. He has a toe tap trigger and the ability to find barrels with an all fields approach. He is a very good student.
