Owen Murtha is a 2024 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Marlboro, NJ who attends St. John Vianney. Murtha provided value at a number of defensive spots over the course of his day, starting from the IF where he displayed natural 3B actions with solid arm strength across the diamond up to 80 mph. He worked on top of throws with reliable glove work to pair. The arm strength translated in the OF where Murtha topped out at 84 mph with calculated footwork producing consistent accurate throws on the bag. On the bump, he released from a clean high 3/4 slot exclusively from the stretch with a quick and simple operation overall. He efficiently recorded outs during his appearance with a vertically shaped CB flashing late drop also present in the arsenal. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with a toe-tap trigger generating his best contact back up the middle of the field. Power potential is expected to continue developing, posting an exit velo of 77 mph. Ran a 5.23 forty yard dash. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
