Taylor Buran is a 2008 RHP with a 6'5'', 215 lb. frame from Richmond, VA who attends Bendictine HS. He has a very broad shouldered build with very good upper body strength and a taperd waist and live lower body. Buran throws from a tall delivery over the rubber with a short stride, tall and fall style delivery that uses little lower half. He has a quick, strong arm and threw his fastball up to 92 mph and was over 90 consistently. His fastball is pretty straight. Buran shorten's up his arm stroke and already short stride on his curveball and is still working on consistency with this pitch. Buran gives the impression of being a recent convert to a primary pitcher due to his mechanics and his overall athletic ability backs that up. He's a 6.9 runner who has some serious juice in his bat. Buran's swing is long and lofted from a wide base and when he makes solid contact that ball jumps hard to all fields. He's a one spot/one speed type of hitter for now but his bat speed and strength are obvious. His athletic abilty should enable him to keep improving as he gets higher level instruction.
