Drew Weir is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Harrisburg. Has a lean frame with a compact build. Ran a 7.13 60-yard dash. A primary shortstop who had a good first step, showing off footwork that carries him to the ball. He had quick and swift actions, moving athletically overall. Threw from a three-quarters arm slot with a quick arm on display. He was accurate and the throws carried across the diamond. A right-handed hitter with a wider base, closing the stance off with high set hands ready to do damage. He uses toe-tap timing with a heel-to-heel load and stride, tapping the toe as he gets through the actions. he has shown off a direct hand path with intent on his swings, getting the barrel to it and driving it for line drives. A right-handed pitcher with a compact frame and wide base on the mound. He has a lower three-quarters arm slot, getting a bit of cross-body action to his arm path. He pounded the zone with the fastball as well. His fastball worked into the mid-70s with some arm-side run to the pitch. He also had a slider that he spun really well, up to 2432 RPMs while throwing in the mid-60s. It had a slurvy shape, working 11-5 at times but also getting some horizontal run to it as well. He used the breaking ball for swings and misses, aiming to force bad swings out of the hitters after sequencing well with the fastball. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
