Braden Ilkanic is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Brunswick, OH who attends Padua Franciscan. Average height, soft build. Methodical delivery with rhtyhmic belt high lift and three quarters release. Fastball plays true, occasionally has cut-ride action. Easy downhill action, moderate intensity in delivery. Threw more strikes to the arm side. CB secondary; has decent spin but lacks true depth. Worked east-west well enough. Opens hip and fires upper body late in the operation. Limited rotational velocity, generates power from a clean arm path. Defensively, he has soft hands with some feel for the timing of the footwork. Fed the 3-6-3 start up with accuracy. At the dish, he starts with medium base and high back elbow. Forces separtion in his heel turn load, simple action with the knob to the ball. Level plane through the zone with strength in the lowers he uses well to generate power. Approach worked line drives through the middle of field.
