Carson Castillo is a 2027 C/RHP/2B with a 5-8 118 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Lubbock-Cooper. Long and lean build with lots of room to et stronger. 7.52 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up well behind the plate, has good fundamental actions, clean and exchange and footwork, receives the ball cleanly, waiting for the strength to kick in as the basics play well already. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base, has a short and direct swing and can get the barrel out front, works pull side to up the middle with consistent line drive contact, has barrel control and executes his swing well. Also pitched, has simple turn and throw mechanics that he repeats well, long and loose arm action, good tempo to his delivery. Pounded the strike zone with a low 70's fastball and a curveball, has an idea how to pitch. Whole key to his development is getting stronger.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
