Jake Michalek is a 2024 SS/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Winston Salem, NC who attends Forsyth Country Day. Tall, athletic build with well proportioned strength. Primary middle infielder, athletic movements for the size with solid range to both sides. Fields the ball out front with two hands and has a good arm across. Throws up to 81 mph with carry and accuracy to the bag. Profiles well at third base long term. Right-handed hitter with high hands set in the stance. Simple load to get the swing started, uphill swing path with jump off the barrel when in rhythm. Worked best to right-center in the round of batting practice. Had good results in game action with a loud triple to the opposite field gap. Strong player with power projection to the swing. Great student.
