Cayden Herren is a 2024 3B/RHP, 2B, SS with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Port Lavaca, TX who attends Calhoun. Recorded a 7.21 second 60-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with a big frame and lean athletic build. Corner actions and footwork to gather with big arm strength on throws across the diamond at 84 mph. Moves well on the charge with ability to make accurate throws while on the move. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a belt-high lift and small arm swing to a 3/4 arm slot delivery. Lands slightly closed down the slope running the fastball up to 83 mph. Featured a breaking ball up to 68 mph and a changeup with some depth at 73 mph. Uptempo delivery challenging hitters in the strike zone. Right-handed hitter with a narrow base and high hands setup. Quick knee-lift trigger with separation and strength through the zone. Short compact stroke with impact to all fields and backside release. Excellent student.
