James Wasson is a 2027 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Hinsdale, IL who attends Nazareth Academy. Recorded a 7.05 second 60-yard dash time. Slender build with an extra large build and lots of room to add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with moving parts that create deception. Throws exclusively from the stretch. Slight crossfire with a quick arm and commands the ball well to the glove side. Fastball peaked at 85 mph with arm side life. Gets good depth on the changeup. Breaking ball is softer and could land the pitch for strikes. Arm strength plays from secondary positions of the outfield and first base. Right-handed hitter with an upright stance, high hand set, and a low back elbow. Hands work well into the swing and can drive the ball to the pull side. Deeper hands with a big torso rotation. Swings hard and creates serious impact at the point of contact.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
