A.J. Burlington is a 2008 IF/P with a 5'11'', 185 lb. frame from Belleville, Ontario, who attends Quinte Secondary. Burlington has a good frame and looks taller than his listed 5'11". Defensively he squares up well fielding in the middle of the diamond. He has soft hands and fields ball out front well. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a high hand set. He has a rotational swing, but he stays balanced throughout his swing. Burlington has strength in his swing showing projectable power. He has good strike zone awareness and doesn't chase bad pitches. He has upside at the plate. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Burlington gets running life on his fastball that topped out at 77 mph. He also mixed in a solid 12/6 curveball at 66 mph.
