Emmett Northrop is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-4 105 lb. frame from Leesburg, VA who attends St. Paul VI Catholic High School. Young athlete with extra lean current frame and good athletic actions and a lot of time to grow physicality. Primary position IF, with emerging overall actions but solid fundamentals and feel for the clay. Got into angles well with quick first step and flashed good lateral mobility. Glove work is there and will refine with time using deeper funnel to medium arm path creating throws up to 65 mph across the diamond. Secondary RHP, showing projectable overall mechanics and big leg lift to get loaded over the rubber. Hand break into very compact arm action, mostly inline to foot strike. A bit quick into rotation losing his direction but when closed at release he showed his best velocity up to 65 mph. RHH starting with an even and inline stance with high back elbow and quiet handset. Moves well in the lower half and gets on plane, projecting more impact with time and strength. Very young athlete with potential for two-way skill set longterm.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
