Matthew Amy is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from East Meadow, NY who attends East Meadow. Amy works from a young lean build with additional room to fill out and project as a '27 prospect. As a primary C, he displayed a side saddle set with controlled actions while keeping throws low and around the bag. The arm action was compact and repeatable with developing arm strength, displaying refining footwork to ultimately post a 2.32 pop time. From the OF, Amy showcased an aggressive approach through the baseball with clean transfers and accurate throws on the bag up to 71 mph. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with tight hands and a leg lift trigger to produce contact to all parts of the field. He has further room to work into the lower half and generate additional carry on the ball, posting an exit velo of 70 mph. Ran a 8.38 sixty yard dash.
