Tyler Jones is a 2027 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 168 lb. frame from Annapolis, MD who attends Arch Bishop Spalding. Medium, high waisted frame with long-levers, square shoulders and plenty of physical projection remaining. Recorded a 7.29 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Showed a fairly quick first step, some lateral range to either side and works through the baseball with good pace. Funneled cleanly out in-front, showed the ability to make the play on the run and recorded accurate throws up to 72 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with a coiled leg lift into balance and medium stride length out to foot strike. Strike thrower with good command of all four quadrants, sequences well with two-pitch mix and expands the strike zone when ahead in the count. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 77 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in slower, big breaking curveball with gradual depth to it. Will continue to improve with refinement to his repertoire and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, open base with a high, tight hand set and small inward stride into launch. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics, coils well into back-hip and produces some present bat speed. Mostly pullside impact with strength in his core and hands, generates some leverage out in-front and creates lift in his path. Developing feel for the barrel, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Fundamentally sound prospect with some two-way versatility and potential offensive prowess. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
