Pratt is a big and strong 6-1, 205 first baseman from Tennessee. He ran the 60 in 7.52 and threw 79 mph across the infield in drills. Pratt has a big leg lift trigger in his set up with busy hands and lots of bat waggle. All this motion does sometimes upset his timing but he’s also able to work through it because of his bat speed and aggressiveness. Pratt attacks the ball and pulls it hard consistently. He has the strength and bat speed to hit with plenty of power in the future, especially with metal in his hands, and should keep improving as a hitter as he calms his approach. Pratt also threw an inning in relief, showing a quick, compact arm action but struggled with his command somewhat. Pratt topped out at 78 mph with a 69-70 mph.
