Angelo Hoil is a 2027 2B/RHP, SS, OF with a 5-4 115 lb. frame from Haverhill, MA who attends Pingree. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.79 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, works cleanly to the backhand, fields it out front with two hands and shows some softness to them, accuracy throws with arm strength and carry that will continue to develop. Tends to open front side early on throws from outfield, charges the ball with intent, utilizes a big crow hop moving into release. Also pitched, delivery tempo and pace with some pauses in operation, hides the ball through the backside working to a high three-quarters release point; fastball topped out at 65 mph and pitched to contact, flashed a curveball at 54 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread lower half and high hand set and back elbow at the plate; upper body dominant swing, front should goes early at times, employs a high leg lift at start of swing for timing. Can shorten lower half set up, shows some present hand speed and ability to go the other way.
