Stephen Szygenda is a 2024 C/3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Anderson. Primary catcher with a physical build behind the dish. Starts low and pops up quick with good athleticism. Uses a side saddle for the setup. Gains ground well through the plate. Throws had good carry with accuracy and strength behind them. Quick transfer and release with shorter arm action. Ran a 7.53 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a wider base. Rocks back and uses a front foot leg lift and stride for timing and weight transfer. Works off his backside well and gets into lower half a good bit with a loaded backside. Impacts the ball hard to his pull side with easy strength out in front. Excellent student. Named to the top prospect list.
