Nathan Bassett is a 2023 RHP/ with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Bristow, VA who attends Patriot. Large, physical build with loads of present strength throughout his frame. 7.61-second runner during the sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher, was purely electric on the mound during his three innings of work, working his fastball up to 91 mph. Starting from the third-base side of the rubber, working exclusively from the stretch with a simple drop-and-drive lower half. Uses his long limbs to get down the slope, remaining on line to the plate. Ball jumped out of his hand with ton of arm speed from a low 3/4 slot. Sat in the 88-90 mph range, holding comfortably for all three innings. Plus-slider with sharp, sweeping action that he played off his fastball well. Generated tons of swing-and-misses with his repertoire. Big-time power arm that is one to keep track of. At the plate, sets up with a slightly open stance and a high-hand set. Elevated stroke, working to the pull side during his round, creating torque with his long levers. Very good student. Named to Fall East Coast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
