Axel Tyler is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Opelousas, LA who attends Teurlings Catholic. He ran a 7.43 sixty yard dash. Axel has a long lengthy frame with plenty of projection and more strength to be added going forward. Primary outfielder showed sound footwork catching the ball on the right side cleanly while working through the ball efficiently. He showed a full arm swing with some cary on his throws with online accuracy to the bases and clean glove to hand exchanges. Secondary Right handed pitcher he worked on the side of the rubber with a leg lift that worked slightly above the hip. The stride was very short at landing as Tyler worked over the front side all at release. It was a straight over the top arm stroke with some looseness to it. He commands the fastball well especially getting it to the inner half under the hands. There was a CH mixed in that had some late fade and tunneled the fastball well. Right handed hitter worked with a mid set base with a small toe tap trigger. He worked low set hands that moved it slow at load. Axel showed consistent coach working mainly to the pullside. He is a great student in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
